Welcome Letter

‘Bringing out the best in everyone’

I would like to welcome you to our school website on behalf of the children, staff and Governors.

Haversham Village School opened in 1965 and has a long history of being a highly successful village school, based in the heart of the community. It is currently a small, rural Infant School for 4 – 7 year olds. However, we are about to enter a new chapter of the school and in September 2018 we are expanding to become a Primary School, which will take children from age 4 - 11. The children attend from Haversham, Wolverton and other areas of north Milton Keynes.

The school underwent an OFSTED Inspection in September 2010 and was graded ‘outstanding’. We are very proud of our school and it was wonderful to have our strengths validated in this way. However, we are not complacent, and are always looking for ways to further improve. It is an exciting time for the school, and we are currently planning how to ensure we offer an "outstanding," education to all of our children, across the Primary School age-range. I passionately believe the school is a special, nurturing place which ‘brings out the best in everyone’ We have a small, dedicated staff and local governors who work hard to ensure that we offer the best education to the children. We believe Haversham Village School is a very happy place, where children feel secure, safe and welcome. We aim to nurture excellence and enjoyment in a friendly, homely atmosphere.

The best way to get a true impression of our school is to visit during the school day. Visits by parents and children are welcomed. We hope that when you have visited us, you will want to come and join our community.

Best wishes,
Alison Mears
