Emergency Closures

If the weather becomes severe and threatens school closure please remember to check our Emergency Closure Details. Please be assured that staff will always try their very best to reach school and ensure it is kept open. However, you need to be aware of the procedures we have in place, in case of severe bad weather or any other emergency e.g. epidemic, which might result in school closure. The following information has been circulated from the Local Authority and we suggest you keep it somewhere safe.

Milton Keynes Council has created a website that each school can access and close the school, if necessary. It also updates the local radio stations and the Council’s website with closures.

If you think that your child’s school may be closed, for example when there is heavy snow fall or bad weather, you can find out by :

Visiting the Council’s website http://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/closures

Alternatively, you can listen to Heart Radio (103.3) or BBC Three Counties Radio (95.5 or 103.8) or visit their websites http://www.heart.co.uk/miltonkeynes/ or http://www.bbc.co.uk/threecountiesradio.

You can now find out if we have to close our school in an emergency by signing up for free text and email alerts on the Milton Keynes Council website. Simply log on to http://www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/closures and enter your email address and mobile phone number to receive the alerts if we have to close.
